July 4th – Fun with Courtesy

When it comes to our July 4th celebrations, let’s keep things neighborly and fun! Here are a couple of friendly reminders for your long weekend get-togethers:

• Party Noise: Let’s crank up the music, but not too loud! Our goal is to celebrate without disturbing our fellow residents. So, keep the volume at a friendly level, and maybe save the heavy bass for your headphones.
• A word about Fireworks: Fireworks are a blast (literally!), but oh-so-illegal in unincorporated Ventura county where Piru is located. Fillmore can legally sell “Safe and Sane” fireworks – using them is permitted…. in Fillmore only! Your neighbors and pets will thank you for NOT using fireworks.
